1961 – Studied Business Administration at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. After graduating in October 1986, he joined the former bank Bank Mees & Hope, subsidiary of the former ABN Bank. Made the switch to the position of managing director for Banque de Suez, Rotterdam branch, in 1992. Started at Berk Holding at the end of 1995 with the primary responsibility for the private equity funds. Worked on the last two investments of Berk Partners (I), was co-founder and co-shareholder of Berk Partners II (1998), Berk Partners III (2003) and Berk Partners IV (2010). Realized a management buy-out with his colleagues in January 2004, after which the company that manages the participation funds was entirely in the hands of the investment team. Currently co-founder / shareholder of the Berk Partners Growth Fund.
